Whu I Am going To Be A Succesful Teacher Essay In pursuing a goal or an objective, a profound level of commitment must first be assured.   I contemplate my dreams and purposes in life along such premise.   And then, I reckon and inculcate values that will equip me along the way.   As such, my goal to become a successful teacher will be achieved because of the prime values I consider my strengths.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   As I am sure of my commitment, I develop total patience in my total perception and pursuit of my goals.    The first step I take to sustain my patience is acceptance and acknowledgement of responsibilities towards a goal.   As I acknowledge what is the level and amount of responsibilities involved, I then work out the features involved to meet them.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   Working towards a goal requires a very positive attitude.   Even though I immediately acknowledge the various ups and downs, I see to it that â€Å"hope springs eternal†.   I exert my best efforts to be unyielding and sustain persevering outlook towards the best there is towards a goal.   I keep the faith that I can find my way through any difficulty – even at an unknown length of time.   It is the inspiration of rewards and fulfillment that will make me endure.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   The dedication and commitment towards a goal must be more than deep-rooted in my mind, it must be soul-felt.   My passion towards a goal is set not only because of the rewards due in achieving a goal, but more so because of the sense of completing my being.   It is the glory of an internal satisfaction that will give me a good night’s sleep.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   Being effective and successful as teacher will enhance my creativity and originality.   Teaching and molding young minds to the universal sea of knowledge will keep me always on my toes to make my presentations interesting, efficient, clear and challenging.   And working out the plans to achieve the same will encourage me to ensure that my students will experience a unique, yet understandable, awakening to knowledge.

Hitler Took Advantage of People's Low Self Esteem After World War I Germany fell to an all time low, economically and politically. The German people were unemployed, the government was broke and there was a feeling of helplessness all around. Hitler took advantage of the German people's low self esteem and saw it as a way he could use this feeling of hopelessness to better himself. Inflation played a huge role in Germany's problems. Germany had incurred an enormous debt from World War I. The government was under a great deal of pressure to repay the debt and thought they could solve their dilemma by printing more money. Too much of the international economy rested on the unproductive passing of paper from the United States to Germany as loans, from Germany to the Allies as reparations, and from the Allies to the United States as payment of war debts; and the United States raised tariffs in 1922 and again in 1930 to levels that made it nearly impossible for Europeans to earn dollars by selling to Americans. People from all classes were hungry, homeless and unemployed. Germany's welfare system could not handle all of the people needing help. The few soup kitchens available had long lines with no hope of feeding everyone in need. People were sleeping on sidewalks, in alleys or anywhere were they could find warmth. A German writer who experienced these conditions himself describes a day in 1932 after he was allowed a nights stay at the Berlin municipal lodging house...Now the men are standing in a long row, dressed in their plain nightshirts that reach to the ground, and the noise of their shuffling feet is like the noise of big wild animals walking up and down the stone floor of their cages before feeding time. The men lean far over the kettle so that the warm steam from the food envelops them and they hold out their bowls as if begging and whisper to the attendant, "Give me a real helping. Give me a little more." Hitler saw a way to take advantage of the countries depression and the people's feeling of hopelessness. He knew that the people of Germany were looking for any change to escape from their current way of life.

ETH 316 August 22, 2011 Ethics Essay Utilitarianism Utilitarianism ethics emphasize that action should be morally beneficial to a group. This course of ethics is often known as â€Å"the greatest good for the greatest number† or simply put, â€Å"the greater good† (Boylan, 2009). In other words, the consequence of any ethical action should be beneficial for all by mass appeal. This is a common underlying theme for ethics in capitalist economies and business as well as in democratic governments (Boylan, 2009). Virtue Theory Virtue theory, also known as virtue ethics, focuses more so on the character of a person rather than the rules and consequences of specific acts. What this essentially means is that the primary focus is whether or not the person acting ethically is a person who upholds high morals and virtues, in turn expressing â€Å"good character† (Garrett, 2005). Rules, intent, consequences and outcome are not necessarily irrelevant; however, the emphasis of virtue theory is primarily on a person’s character, their virtues, and their expression of good intentions (Garrett, 2005). Deontology Unlike virtue theory, deontology has a heavy emphasis on duty in action, in adherence to rules. The right action is important here, where upon completion, should bring about the greatest good for all involved. This is somewhat similar to utilitarianism, which does focus on the consequence of the greatest good. However, deontology does not lean on the consequence itself, but more so the principle behind committing the right action. (Boylan, 2009). In turn, the ethics behind deontology is about principle and following rules. Similarity Between Theories All three of these ethical practices have tangible similarities. The primary similarity is consequence of action. Even though consequence is not always the primary focus of the action, it is expected in all three theories that the consequence should have a beneficial result as an outcome of the action. Whether the action is based on principle, values or virtues, the end should justify the means. Difference Between Theories The best way to express the differences between virtue theory, utilitarianism and deontological ethics is to take a common scenario and analyze from these three different perspectives. A good example to use would be a person having car trouble and has pulled their car on the side of the road. They are in obvious need of help. In committing the action of helping the person, an individual is acting on a moral or ethical duty. An individual who practices virtue theory ethics would point out that by helping the person, doing so would be a charitable act and would express good character of the person assisting the one in need. One who practices utilitarianism would say that by helping the person, doing so would be good for both the person in need and the person helping. A deontologist would say that by helping, it would be so in accordance to a moral rule, such as karma, or what you do to others will come back to you. (Hursthouse, 2010). As the example shows, virtue theory focuses on a person’s moral ethics, and not on any specific outcome or rule. Utilitarianism has an emphasis on the greater good, focusing on a beneficial outcome for all persons involved, where the consequences of acting are beneficial to a community. Finally, deontology emphasizes duty as specific action being done in completion of following a specific moral code, rule or command. In a previous job position, I had an ethical dilemma that required making a fair decision for all parties involved. It involved a quality assurance process for outbound marketing in a call center. There was a Spanish speaking division where the manager wanted a special call monitoring process just for the Spanish speakers. I decided against the process for the simple fact that the Spanish speakers did not say anything different or offer anything different than the non-Spanish speakers. The reason I chose to do this was to make the quality assurance process fair for all the call agents. If I had done the opposite, the non-Spanish speakers would have sought similar treatment. What I Didn t Have A Father Figure - 1075 Words

When I was young I didn’t have a father figure in my life, it was my mother raising five children all on her own. We lived in a fairly poor housing project which was made up of blacks and whites; there was not much diversity in our neighborhood. My mother worked part time and went to college part time, which left my siblings and me fending for ourselves a lot of the time. My brother who was the oldest treated us as if he were the man of the house and did what he could to keep us safe. I don’t feel as though my mother invested a lot of time or commitment with us, which caused some emotional development issues among us all. One thing I do know is she always took the time to be sure we attended church every Sunday which we all looked forward to. Most of my young childhood days were chaotic and dysfunctional which made me sad and unsure about how I could trust anyone. I have suffered some childhood trauma which later turned into anxiety while in my teenage years. During the course of my lifetime, I have developed relationships with one of my Aunts and Uncles they were always there when I needed them. During the summer I would stay with my Aunt for the whole summer and it felt wonderful to have an environment which was fun and safe to be in.
