New York University New York University (NYU) is one of the largest private universities in the United States, located in Manhattan, its mission is to be an international center of scholarship, teaching and research defined by a culture of academic excellence and innovation. NYU is an amazing school that provides great opportunities and experiences for their students in all different types of fields. The university was founded by Albert Gallatin in 1831. The student body went from 158 students total during NYUââ¬â¢s first semester to an amazing student body of 40,000 students during the 2013-2014 school year. In 2013-2014 the tuition was $44,848, which is a bit expensive for most people so financial support can be provided if it is needed. Most of the full-time undergraduate students at NYU would not be able to pay their educational costs if not for the financial assistance that the school has to offer. There were about 22,500 students enrolled in the 2013-2014 school year; 40% of the enrolled students were male and 60% female. There is a 35% acceptance rate at NYU. The deadline to send in applications to the school is January 1st. NYU is not only the largest private university in America but it is a university with a global influence that is very unique and unlike any other school. There are three different campuses that make up NYUââ¬â¢s global network: one in New York Ci ty, a second in Abu Dhabi, and a third in Shanghai. There are also global academic centers in Accra, Berlin,Show MoreRelatedMinding the Business of College Athletic Programs7955 Words à |à 32 Pagesï » ¿Minding the Business of College Athletic Programs 28 The NCAAs father was football and its mother was higher education.
